Primary resources provide a first hand account or evidence of an historical event. They are materials that provide insight into a particular event or time period and can be written documents or physical items that were created at the time of an event.

Some examples of primary sources are artwork, diaries, letters, manuscripts, maps, audio and video recordings, photographs, and pottery.

If you are still unsure about primary resources and have questions, come in or send us an email.
