The CWI Library Information Literacy Badging Program exists to help you learn about the critical services and resources the Library makes available to you at CWI, and to help you build or expand your skills in locating, evaluating, and using information in your class assignments.
The Badging site exists in your Blackboard, where you should already see it listed under "My Organizations":
Please note: If you don't see the Badging site listed in your Organizations, submit a quick HelpDesk ticket and request that it be added. You can expect it to appear within one business day.
Our Library badges cover the following information:
- Get a tour of the physical Library and an orientation to our website by completing the "Crossed the Threshold" Badge.
- Learn how to better evaluate and select website sources for your class projects in the "Website Crusher" Badge.
- Find out how to search for books and articles from the Library when you walk through the "Found It!" Badge.
- Discover and leverage the unique value of librarians in the "Asked a Librarian" Badge.
Complete all four of the above badges and you'll receive the Research Basics Badge Set, proving that you are on your way to super-researcher status!
