CWI Library provides access to NYTimes.com for all current students, staff, and faculty members through a 1-year Academic Pass. You can renew your account annually to keep your uninterrupted access.

Visit nytimes.com/passes​ to register or renew your account using your CWI email. 

  1. Click "Create Account."
  2. Enter your CWI email address, choose a password and click "Create Account."
  3. Validate your email by clicking on the link sent to your CWI email from NYTimes.com.
  4. Select whether you are a student or faculty/staff. Select a graduation year if you are a student. Click "Sign Up."
  5. You will get a message that "You've claimed your NYTimes Pass" which gives you access for 1 year. Use the login you created at NYTimes.com and in any NYTimes.com apps you download to your devices.

 

If you have previously registered with your CWI email address at NYTimes.com, select "Log in here" and enter your existing password.

If needed, click the "Forgot your password?" link to reset your password.

 

Once you are registered, you have access to NYTimes.com and the NYTimes.com apps, including:

 

NYTimes.com has lots of great Tools and Services to help with research and managing all the info.


*For historical material, users are limited to 5 articles from 1923 to 1980 per 24 hours.
